Total Deck Care begins with a complete and comprehensive inspection of your log home. The inspection includes checking the logs for rot and problem areas that will need repairs or replacement. TDC will also inspect for insect damage, water damage, chinking damage and cracks and openings in the caulking.

Not all restoration companies agree on how to remove old stain and finish. Total Deck Care prefers the power wash system. We power wash using our own formula to break down and strip the old stain, the power wash also opens the wood pores, allowing a deeper penetration of fresh stain.
Log homes breath and move with changing weather conditions and the chinking and caulking applied to a log home or log cabin need to move with the home. Total Deck Care uses high quality chinking and caulking materials that bond with the wood logs allowing elastic movement with the home’s natural movement.
